Caring for creation is a core pillar of JPIIJPC’s work. The Centre implements a wide range of environmental initiatives throughout the year in collaboration with like-minded partners, faith-based institutions, and schools across Uganda. These efforts go beyond one-off events and form part of a sustained commitment to promoting ecological justice, climate action, and responsible stewardship of natural resources.
Our activities include tree planting, climate change awareness trainings, and community sensitization programs, with a strong focus on empowering young people through school-based engagements and Laudato Clubs. Through these platforms, students and community members are equipped with knowledge and practical skills to protect the environment and promote sustainable living.
In addition to these ongoing efforts, JPIIJPC participates in key annual events such as the commemoration of Laudato Si’, where it joins other organizations to advocate for environmental protection and concrete actions like reducing single-use plastics and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Through continuous collaboration and year-round engagement, JPIIJPC contributes to building a culture of care for the environment and advancing the vision of the Laudato Si Movement for a more sustainable and just world.
